With years of experience and a highly skilled team, we’re able to provide the highest standard in charred timber available in the UK. We have an in-depth knowledge of the manufacturing process and can confidently offer advice, technical support and samples for your project.
We utilise an inline charring kiln and we’re skilled at optimising the charring process for different wood types. We alos provide a range of finishing levels with proprietary water based oils and a final wire brushing. This enables us to offer eight different colour options, all produced to the same high standard.
Various timber lengths, widths and edge profiles are available, along with an option to specify custom colour matching trims such as corner, window, door beads and stops etc.
Wood Types
We currently offer larch and spruce as standard European FSC souced woods. Other wood types are available on request.
Widths & Lengths
YakiWood is available for cladding, decking and fencing in board widths of 95mm, 120mm and 145mm.
Boards length options are 3.0m, 3.3m and 3.6m
Board Profiles
Boards can be supplied with a simple square edge cut, which is ideal for decking and fencing, when close butting installation or fitting with an intentional gap is preferred.
For cladding boards we offer shiplap which includes a shadow gap for a stylish architectural appearance.
Board Pricing
Pricing is calculated in square metres and we always advise between 10%-15% contingency should be added to your order.
There are eight standard colour variants available, shown here in larch. We can supply spruce and also other wood types on request. The boards can be supplied in various widths and lengths, with square cut edges or with a shiplap edge profile, which features a shadow gap.
Please contact us for other bespoke requirements such as door and window trims, which can be produced in a matching finish.
We offer two standard edge profiles.
Straight cut edges are normally preferred for decking and fencing, where a rain screen isn’t generally required.
Shiplap provides a shadow gap and ideal for vertical cladding installation, offering a great architectural styling.
